I miss the good old days. When life was easier, drama free, and how happy we would be. But things have changed and so have people, not me I stayed true to you. I hope you understand I did what I thought was right, thinking of you yes, but more so what was BEST. It can’t always be about us although we may want it to, just know that I never meant to hurt you. This song by Miguel definitely caught my attention when he performed it in concert. I was shocked. Even “Quickie” shocked me but THIS? Who knew he was so fresh ! It isn’t featured on his debut album “All I Want Is You”, but you can download it. Any who, I like it better performed than recorded; actually I like the sound of Miguel live than recorded period. His sexual orientation has been questioned by many. Gay, Straight, Bisexual, or just extremely Metro-sexual? Not really sure and I don’t think he is quite sure either. But regardless of what his sexual orientation is, he is still a great artist and like many others, does not receive the credit due to him. Y’all gotta give it up to him though for this song here.

Every man, NO. EVERY HUMAN BEING wants that reassurance that their significant other or partner belongs to them and them ONLY. But that is hardly ever the case. We make promises that are meant to be broken, so why do we tell the people we “say” we love that we will never give ourselves to someone else. The more we think about them being with someone else, the more we frequent the question : “Are you cheating on me?” We all know the answer is going to be “No”, but it’s just that reassurance in hearing it that helps us block the thought that they might actually be cheating or they have in the past. Don’t worry ladies, men are just as insecure as we can be, sometimes even more. The lyrics to this song weren’t intended to show the confidence men want/have, but to expose just how insecure they really are behind that I’M THE MAN act. To know that you don’t have one preference of a partner but multiple, weakens his ego and makes him feel lesser of a man. It even weakens him more to know that he isn’t good enough for you, and neither is his performance. So yeah if it makes him more of a man, go ahead tell him it belongs to him. This is a topic that I can go days talking about. Safe sex. I know sex is a private matter and is sometimes a touchy subject to talk about, but if you ask me I will be honest with my answer. Honestly what is lying going to do? Will it help if you’re only 18 but you’ve had 25 partners? No. That isn’t even the amount because you have been exposed to all the people they had sex with and so on (Refer back to chart). Almost one year ago June 19, 2010 I began my celibacy journey. I made a vow to myself that I will not have sexual relations with someone who I feel does not deserve that part of me. I have never been the girl to lay down with anyone. Through out high school my three best friends and I were able to subtract ourselves from the girls who were named “sluts” or “hoes”. Sometimes these girls were even younger than us! It honestly bothers me and pisses me off to see females younger than me, my age, or even older, to put their bodies at risk for someone who might not even remember their name in the morning. It hurts even more when that female is someone close to you. I honestly do not understand why women feel they need to have unprotected sex with a man vs. doing it with a condom. Do they feel it will make him more attracted to them? Do you think he will love you when it’s over? Oh wait no maybe you think it will get him to actually stay the whole night and cuddle? Which one is it? None of the above. Ladies we have to protect our bodies from harm. Treat your body as if you were five years old again and you got a brand new Barbie doll. Do not let anyone play with her or touch her until you trust that they will play nice. One of the most common STDs or STIs women have and don’t know is HPV. HPV is the human papilloma virus. Don’t get me wrong men get it too. Where do you think it comes from? This used to be just a harmless virus children would get but obviously it turned into something bigger than that. HPV can prevent you from ever having children in the future because the longer you live with it, the faster it attacks your cervix and that eventually leads to cervical cancer. That eventually leads to… NO KIDS. Now you tell me if some guy you met in college who showed a little interest by winking at you, is worth having unprotected sex with ONE NIGHT, and possibly ruining the REST OF YOUR LIFE? Yes there are some STDs that can be cured. But just like Herpes and HIV, HPV is there to stay! As far as my celibacy journey, I am still going strong, and very much proud of myself! No one else has to be because I did this for ME! It has helped me grow and see things differently from others. Please wrap it up people! Adults and Young Adults need to inform the youth on what is at risk when having unprotected sex. DO NOT LET THESE DISEASES KILL OFF OUR YOUTH BECAUSE THEY ARE OUR FUTURE! IF YOU DON’T LOVE YOURSELF FIRST, HOW DO YOU EXPECT HIM/HER TO DO SO?

This man has made an incredible comeback in my eyes. He has expressed more of his hidden talents and is definitely getting the media’s attention. Now that he has colored his hair people are saying all types of things like he’s gay and he’s just looking for attention. He’s just speaking out with actions and expressing himself in his unique way. Have you seen those paintings?! The kid got skills ! I love that he incorporated his girlfriend into it ! #NICE BREEZY! With that being said I will always be a fan and a supporter. This is me. Sometimes people ask me to explain myself in three words or something but I find that quite difficult because I can be a complex person at times. I am many things and have many talents. I love being different and being in my own skin. I always like to refer back to this quote; “an original is ALWAYS worth more than a copy”.
